About Us
K9 Explorers is based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, we offer training and group adventures. I'm Leah a certified professional trainer and owner of K9 Explorers! It is a joy to take your beloved dogs out on adventures where they can enjoy the exercise and enrichment they deserve and need. Additionally I find it rewarding to help owners see how smart their dogs are and to strengthen their bond with their companions through the shard language of positive reinforcement training.

My journey into dog behavior began when I adopted Khan, my brindle mixed breed from the SPCA 15 years ago. His early struggles taught me invaluable lessons about dog language and training, in addition my 11 years of experience in dog rescue both as a SPCA volunteer and fostering puppies and dogs for a rescue has deepened my passion and knowledge about dogs.

In 2023 I earned the prestigious Dog Trainer Professional Diploma from The Karen Pryor Academy and continue to upskill as there is always more to learn about our amazing canines!!

Leah is such a wonderful person. She just loves dogs and they love her. She walks our elderly dog and he adores her. He has benefited from the training she gives during walks. Pictures and an update from every walk. Really professional, reliable and fabulous value.
My two border collies Layla and Milo totally adore Leah, she walks them weekly and keeps me updated whilst I am at work its lovely to receive photos of their adventure. She's very experienced and has a lovely calm nature
